The Keep Warm Project
Each September, Sparrow’s Nest begins collecting needed supplies for the less-fortunate for the winter. This includes jackets, gloves, scarves, skull-caps, blankets, sleeping bags, and backpacks. These items are given away on a distribution day, known as our Keep Warm Project! Businesses, donors, and volunteers come together year after year to make this event a huge success every year!

Christmas Wishlist Giveaway
In December, we put our homeless clients' photos and Christmas Wishlist on the “Checked Twice” website. They have the opportunity to be chosen to receive Christmas presents from different donors! Also, we host a Christmas Party for our clients with a meal, movies, presents, and music!

Thanksgiving Meal & T-Shirts for Turkeys
Thanksgiving Meal: Each Thanksgiving holiday, we aim to provide a Thanksgiving meal to those who may be without one during the holiday season. Each year, we have partnered with several local agencies, organizations, and sponsors (such as Zaxby’s and Sheats Social Services) to provide this to our clients.
T-Shirts for Turkeys - This is an annual event where The Sparrow’s Nest partners with JoyFM to gather turkeys and $10 grocery gift cards for those that are less fortunate during Thanksgiving. JoyFM and The Sparrow’s Nest receive donations at CFA on Atlanta Hwy and then distribute the turkeys and gift cards the following day at The Sparrow’s Nest. Those who donate a turkey or $10 gift card receive a JoyFM T-shirt.
