Volunteer at the Nest!
There are many ways to join The Sparrow’s Nest volunteer team, and opportunities abound in the areas of hospitality, homeless services, serving meals, donation organization, and facility maintenance.
We are always looking for individuals or small groups to prepare and/or bring a meal for our morning or afternoon homeless services. Group volunteers can serve breakfast to our clients on Fridays. Volunteers can also serve lunch on Fridays. If you are interested in providing food, please contact us.

The Sparrows Nest is currently seeking individuals for our Summer, Fall, and Spring internships. Individuals will be able to participate in projects related to social services, project management, public health policy and promotion, marketing/social media. There will also be opportunities to design your own project.
Examples: Facilitating our Breaking the Cycle Classes, job/resume building with clients, development of outreach programs, marketing on multiple platforms,grant writing etc.

The Sparrow’s Nest depends upon the generosity of the community to meet the needs of the families and individuals we serve, not only through monetary donations but also through volunteering and non-cash items such as meals, clothing, and toiletry items.

What your donations will provide:
Service of 2,500 – 3,000 hot meals per month or approximately 30,000 – 36,000 per year.
Provision of over 1,500 bags of groceries to needy adults and children.
Over 3,500 uses of our free showers and laundry services.
Over 8,000 individuals and families served through our clothing ministry.
Provided assistance with medications and other emergency needs to approximately 100 – 150 individuals.
Worship Services for youth, adults and people experiencing homelessness in our community.
