Volunteer at the Nest!
There are many ways to join The Sparrow’s Nest volunteer team, and opportunities abound in the areas of hospitality, clothing closet, serving meals, donation organization, and facility maintenance.
We are always looking for individuals or small groups to prepare and/or bring a meal for our morning or afternoon services. Group volunteers can serve lunch to our clients on Fridays. Volunteers can also serve lunch on Fridays. If you are interested in providing food, please contact us.

The Sparrows Nest provides internship opportunities for Summer, Fall, and Spring semesters. Interns play a vital role in our social services provided Monday-Wednesday and Fridays. Interns also have the opportunity to participate in projects related to social services, project management, marketing and communications, public health policy and promotion, and more according to their area of interest or study.
Our Spring and Summer 2023 internship applications are closed. We are currently accepting Fall 2023 applications. The Fall 2023 application deadline is May 15th.
Examples: Filling out GA ID and Birth Certificate vouchers for clients, shadowing our Breaking the Cycle Classes, helping with annual events, developing outreach programs, marketing on multiple platforms, grant writing etc.

The Sparrow’s Nest depends upon the generosity of the community to meet the needs of the families and individuals we serve, not only through monetary donations but also through volunteering and non-cash items such as meals, clothing, and toiletry items.
Ways To Give:
What your donations will provide:
Service of 2,500 – 3,000 hot meals per month or approximately 30,000 – 36,000 per year.
Provision of over 1,500 bags of groceries to adults and children in need.
Over 3,500 uses of our free showers and laundry services.
Over 8,000 individuals and families served through our clothing ministry.
Provided assistance with medications and other emergency needs to approximately 300+ individuals.
Worship Services for people experiencing homelessness in our community.
Breaking the Cycle and Getting it Right Classes
Employment opportunities through our Clean Streetz Program, over 60+ bags collected monthly
